About D'Arcy

Lives here. Built here. Fighting for here.

Like many of us, D'Arcy chose to move here and raise his family in a small town.

D'Arcy Keene isn't a career politician — he's a Georgetown business owner who has spent decades rolling up his sleeves for this community. He runs Keene Garage, serves as Warden at St. George's Anglican Church, and has built political experience at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels.

He's running because Georgetown deserves a Regional Councillor who shows up, says no when it matters, and puts neighbours ahead of bureaucracy. Common sense isn't a slogan for him — it's how he's lived his life and run his business.

The Platform

Four priorities. One promise.

Common sense leadership built around what Georgetown residents actually tell us matters — not what Town Hall decides for them.

💰

Keene for Lower Taxes

No more tax increases above the rate of inflation — full stop. D'Arcy has proposed multiple six-figure tax cuts every year and has consistently voted against the Mayor's bloated budgets. Your household is tightening its belt; your Town should too.

Keene for Slower Development

Support only the moderate, sensible growth our Town's locally approved secondary plans actually call for. D'Arcy helped the West Danby Road community successfully stop the Kindred Works social housing project — proof that organized neighbours can still win.

Keene for Safer Streets

Reopen the Georgetown Police station at full capacity to meet rising crime where it's happening. D'Arcy backed the new Fire Master Plan to professionalize our first responders and make sure help arrives faster when seconds count.

Keene for Better Services

Direct Town dollars toward the recreation residents actually use — like indoor pickleball courts — instead of ideological vanity projects. D'Arcy has repeatedly tried to stop spending on empty bike lanes and "Town Bird" contests so the budget can go to what our kids really need.
